*Adopt a single payer health care system (HEALTHCARE IS A HUMAN RIGHT) *Cut the bloated, wasteful military budget (ABOLISH THE U.S. MILITARY)  *Adopt a Wall Street securities speculation tax (DEMOLISH WALL STREET) *Support solar energy not nuclear power (SCRAP THE NUKES) *Reverse U.S. policy in the Middle East (OUT OF IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN ) *Impeach Bush/Cheney (…AND THROW THEM IN JAIL) *Adopt a polluter carbon tax (RELY ON BUSES, TRAINS AND BIKES) *Crack down on corporate crime and corporate welfare (FORECLOSE THE GANGSTER CAPITALISTS) *Repeal the anti-union Taft-Hartley law (…AND THROW MANAGEMENT IN THE BROOM CLOSET)

The above is basically the Nader-Gonzalez platform for 2008.

The Obama CULT does not convince me. Like it or not, he is a corporatist liberal imperialist. The return of "Kerry" style political branding. THE MAN with an African-American face. A sophisticated form of liberal deceit disguised with the veneer of identity politics. Neither Obama nor Hillary Has-Been represent "change" but only the illusion of it. Granted that THE SYSTEM would never allow Ralph to win and will do everything in its power to emasculate his candidacy- but principle is principle. My endorsement for Ralph Nader is directly related to the motto of this blog: "In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act."

Good principles are perennial.

GO DOWN FIGHTING !

Real socialists DO NOT capitulate to opportunist pressures. Real socialists do not vote for liberal capitalist politicians and parties that openly boast their rejection of socialist values. Real socialists vote their values. For real socialists capitalist elections are simply an opportunity to propagandize against the capitalist political-economy and agitate for legitimate social and economic transformation.

THE GOAL of Real socialists is to extend democracy beyond the political into the social and economic sphere. Real socialists know perfectly well that even if they where to ''win'' the popular vote that they would not be allowed to take office in a capitalist state. Real socialists know that a vote for liberal capitalists -like Kerry- will do NOTHING to bring about revolutionary socialist transformation - a victory for the liberals only means that the capitalist system of plunder, imperialism, racism and exploitation gets a ''liberal democrat'' make over.

THERE IS NO SOCIALIST CASE FOR KERRY.

Kerry is a political opportunist. His own supporters admit that he is a liar. Kerry defends the occupation of Iraq. He voted for the war. Kerry defends the blockade against Cuba. Kerry defends the anti- Palestinian policies of the Sharon regime.

Beyond that; Kerry opposes gay marriage, he opposes increasing the minimum wage to a living wage. Kerry and his supporters believe that they are ''entitled'' to take working class people, ethnic minorities, and the left for granted. They believe that your vote ''belongs'' to them. They believe that YOU belong to them. Your vote does not and YOU DO NOT. Your vote belongs to your values. It belongs to the best interests of the working class and all who suffer oppression under global capitalism.

A vote for Kerry is NOT in the best interest of the U.S working class. A Kerry victory would only give a ''liberal internationalist'' mask to global imperialism. It would make the United States even more dangerous than it is now. A Kerry victory will make it palatable for the plutocracies of Western Europe to ''join in'' in the plunder of Iraq and central Asia. Send the ''democrats'' a message that you are not fooled.

VOTE NADER !

Stop the war in Iraq! Withdraw all US troops now!
